Look at the following link1 and link2. List and describe  the types of navigation you will use for your website.
Link 1: I would use the build the great sites to make my site look like a pro site. Another thing i would use i the All-in-one program that has different things to make my website better. Ajax would also be good for my tabs, and will allow the rapid development at ajax powered sites. Components would be another good thing for password protection and more.

Link 2: I would want to use space for my website. I would also use structures and interactions

Activity 12

I. Click on the links at the bottom of the page and explain how to achieve the      following concepts  Harmony & Unity   Simplicity, Consistency , Clarity, and  Balance
     when creating a web page.
Harmoy & unity- When creating a web page, harmony can be achieved by similar fonts and colors, pictures that match the topic, and graphics which are similar in tone.

Simplicity- In order to achieve simplicity you should use only the amount of text and graphics. Also having an overabundance of fonts or colors can be a bad distraction instead of something to be learned from. Superfluous graphics can interfere with understanding as well.

Consistency- You can achieve this when creating a web page by placing items such as orientation information, navigation devices, user input, feedback, or operating instructions. You can also use style or graphics. And access structures such as headings.

Clarity- You can achieve this by keeping the instruction at a language level compatable with the intended learners, and keep sentences short. Also try to stay away from negative statements as much as possble and avoid double negatives entirely.

Balance- Objects are balanced when they are equal in weight. If you have several small items on one side, they can be balanced by a larger object on the other side.

Pick one of your most successful layouts and answer the following questions:

1. What is the Principle of Design and Element of Art is used in your design? I used contrast in some of the pictures for my main page. I also used space in the pictures and value.


2. What color scheme did you choose? The color scheme i chose was yellow and blue


3. What is the color of the background, font and pictures? The color of the background is yellow, green and red. The color of the font is black and the pictures have different colors. Two of the pictures are blue and the other picture is light brown and black. I used contrast to change the third picture.

1. What is the information that will go on all of your five pages? Give me that tiles of all of the pages, i.e. Main Page, About Me, News, Gallery

Main Page- on this page people  will see a few pictures of my topic and different links they will have access to.
How the body works- On this page it will talk about several parts of the body. One of the things it will talk about is how your body works and what you can do in order to keep it healthy.

Nutrition-this is a page for people who are willing to follow a good diet in order to have a healthy life.This page will talk about healthy foods and good vitamins that are for the body. Also what they can do in order to live a healthy life.

About me- this page will give some information about me.

2. How will the information be arranged on the page? 

The information will be arranged by having the links on top of my main page.

I would be interested in creating a website about health and living a healthy life by eating the right food and exercising. These are some websites that are similar to the website i want to create:

Activity 2

1) A dancers Journal- I would be interested in creating this. I would make several changes. First off i would add more color to it. I would also add a few more pictures to make it look more interesting. It would be better to add a different background that has to do with dancing. These are a few things i would change.

2) Lunar phases- I would be interested in creating this page. What i would do differently is to add bright colors to make it stand out more. Another thing i would do is to make the moons rotate so there could be some movement. It would also be better to have sun flames going towards the moon to look more interesting instead of just having likes that show the directiong of the sun.

3) Destination: international space station- international space station is something I would also be interested in creating. A few things can be changed like the background on this site. It would also be a better idea if more pictures were added that have to do with space and a space station. I would add a different music to make it sound more appealing.

4)Art Games- This is another thing i would be interested in creating. What i would do differently is to add more animation to this site to make it more entertaining for the kids who go on this site. More color can be added and characters to this page. Another thing i would do differently is to add some music to the background to make it sound exciting. It would be a good idea to add a bright color to the background to make it look really entertaining.

5)Thumb piano tools- This is something i would also be interested in creating. One thing that would be better for this is to add piano music to the background to make it sound like a piano page. What i would do differently is to add a piano being played by a person. It would also be a better idea to make some animation and make a person talk about it instead of just writing on the page. These are some things i would do different to make it look more interesting.

Lines can be used in nature as a structural feature. Such as striping on a tiger, branches, seashell, or even as a surface design.

2. Describe 6 different ways line expresses emotions.

horizontal lines represent a feeling of repose or rest.

vertical lines communicate a feeling of loftiness and spirituality.

diagonal lines suggest a feeling of movement or direction.

horizontal and vertical lines are a combination that communicate stability and solidity.

Deep acute curves represent confusion, turbulence, frenzy, as in the violence of waves.

Soft shallow curves suggest comfort, safety, relaxation, and familiarity.

3. What are factors affect our peception of shape and form? The position of view point from which we see an object will emphasize or obscure certain features, and therefore it will affect the impression it makes.


4. What kind of shapes change two dimensional space?

A three dimentional shape has depth as well as width and height, it can change the space.

5. Look at the work of M.C.Escher how does he manipulate positive and negative space?
the negative space is represented by the background with the black color and the positive is represented by the brighter background which is the white.

6. What are the tools of creating the illusion of three dimensional space?
Gesture.


7. Describe the following type of movement: Implied, Compositional, Dynamic
implied- edge of forms
compositional- the act of combining parts or elements to form a whole.
Dynamic- pertaining to or characterize by energy or effective action.


8. What is Hue and Value?
Hue- refers to pure spectrum colors
Value- is the relative lightness or darkness of a color.


9. What is color proportions, simultaneous contrast, optical mixture?

Color proportions- refers to the impact of relative quantity of a given hue or value used in color compositions.
Simultaneous contrast- is the phenomenon which occurs when a color appears to change when seen against a different background.
Optical Mixture- is the phenomenon which occurs when small particles of different colors are mixed in the eye ; this type of mixture differs from pigment mixture in that it is based on light primaries.

Clean energy

For this picture I made i used paths. I used the custom shape tool. I then positioned the pointer on the baseline indicator so that it would type on the shape. I also used to horizontal type tool to write clean energy. Then i rotated it so that it would look round.

Movie poster

For this movie poster i made i took the face of the movie "lord of war" and found a matching background. I pasted the background and made it look like he is the cause of the war. 

Visual puns

This is an example of an eggplant. For this picture i made, i looked for a green plant. Then i looked for a single egg and placed 7 on the plant. 

science fiction

For this science fiction picture i made i looked for a background, then added the students to it. I tried making the students a little transparent so that the background can go through them. Then i added the alien to the picture and changed his color.

pollution

I made a new layer and placed the picture. I then went to the type tool to type my sentences. I also placed in my second picture in the background. 

martial arts

I selected the channel that had the most contrast and made a copy of it by dragging the channel to the new channel icon. Then I adjusted the picture by using different levels. I colored it black because it was mostly black. After that, I then selected the figure and  saved it as a selection icon. Finally I dragged it up to my background and placed it there.

For this picture I went to layer, then layer style and changed the background. I also tried outlining the buildings on the top.

I took an image of a building and went to layer, then layer style and made some changes. I took the original background off and replaced it with a new one.
